I thought the workshop was excellent. Andrew and Peter were tremendous: hugely experienced, knowledgeable and full of helpful advice. And just meeting other people with AP made such a difference. Many of the stories and experiences they related rang true for me, making me feel less alone.
On the first day of desensing I made good progress working up to peeing with my buddy right behind me (but facing the other way), which surprised me for sure. The next day we headed for local motorway services and again I surprised myself with how well I did peeing multiple times at a urinal in a public, busy toilet.
If you are in any doubt about attending one of these workshops then please take this as encouragement to give it a go. You won't regret it. And you won't be pushed into anything you aren't comfortable with, because buddying and exercises are tailored to the severity of your AP and the progress you make on the day.
Finally, I'd like to repeat my thanks to Andrew and Peter for the workshop and this website. I know the road is long and I will probably need to attend a follow-up workshop, but I feel I have made a good start this weekend.
Thanks,
Phil524
