I have been AP since my teens and being in my early forties now, never having been completely free of the problem, think its high time I posted here! Still being 'avoidant' means I don't get the best out of life. I feel it has led to my general lack of 'career success' I've been married for 14 years and my wife has been and still is very supportive ( she's known for years since before we were married) and that's helped. Approaching the GP didn't really help (I have been to two, both when I was about 18) - first one donned the surgical glove to check for some physical obstruction and tick that off his list, second one was sympathetic but wasn't really able to help. I dont want to go on now, but I do like writing about the situations I get into, seeing the funny side only helps. Will keep an eye out for upcoming workshops
