I found the beginner's workshop in Manchester extremely helpful and reassuring. It also had a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

I would echo what Andrew says and am very glad I also attended this workshop.It was good to meet some fellow sufferers of paruresis.They were all decent and intelligent people and not in any way strange or weird.As I have sometimes wrongly classed myself in this way in the past.I felt comfortable among the other attendees very quickly.The leaders are very knowledgable and kind people and I thank them for their time.I am now well on the way to vastly improving this condition.

At 72 years of age and having suffered since the age of 14 it was a daunting prospect to attend this workshop. The leaders, Andrew and Ian soon put us at our ease and I need not have been concerned. The weekend was both informative and essential for sufferers and an opportunity not to be missed. I only wish I could have done this many years ago. I can say without hesitation that the experience has opened a door for me! All the attendees were people from all walks of life and a good group. My thanks to everyone.

I feel I must leave feedback as it was previously others feedback that gave me the confidence to go. I am so glad I went on this beginners workshop. Anyone who has this problem should go on one of these and start addressing it. I am very glad I did not leave it any longer.I feel a whole lot better about things now as I am understanding what my paruresis really is (and how to handle it) from what I have learned on this workshop. Now I have started this and have had improvement I will keep going. Andrew and Ian were really excellent, put everyone at ease and it is such an amazing job they do. Thank you! It was also really good to meet the other group attendees with the same issue who were a very decent, regular bunch of guys. I will definitely be attending a follow up workshop

I would just like to say how grateful I am to the kind people who give their own time to helping others like me deal with the issues surrounding AP on the Beginners' workshop. Having tried various therapies over a 5 year period I can honestly say that the progress I have made is life changing. I was very apprehensive about attending even after paying for a flight/train/hotel but decided to see it through. I now have a much different perception of using public toilets and would say to anyone thinking about attending a workshop is to throw caution to the wind and sign up.
