Once again I found myself making decent progress and feeling much happier with my current situation. Like most people I had fallen out of my desensing routine and my avoidance activities had starting creeping back in. Attending the refresher course helped re-ignite my determination to keep working on this condition and enabled me to push myself forward. At the end of the weekend I had made much more progress than I initially expected too.
Mixing with lots of guys, getting to hear their stories and being able to discuss this condition that we all share in common is so useful and therapeutic. Once again every single person I spoke to seemed like a top bloke that I could happily have a beer with and natter away too, with all different backgrounds, professions and even countries present! Andrew and Peter were once again superbly supportive and their experience in this subject is so extensive. I even managed to pick their brains on my other anxiety related issues, not just the AP ones... bonus!
If you are an AP sufferer and are considering whether or not you need to attend a follow up session then probably the answer is yes, yes you do. And if you do attend one then hopefully you will find it as useful and positive an experience as I did.
Thanks again to Andrew, Peter and the rest of the gang on the workshop weekend. I wish you all the very best of luck for the future. 440
