He said he had only treated a few Paruresis sufferers but felt he could help me. After the session I asked him how many sessions it was likely to take and he said it was too early to say and he would have a better idea after another 2 sessions or so. For homework I took away a form to fill out called “Multimodal Life history Inventory” and also was asked to complete a table of situations from 1 to 10 defining levels of difficulty in peeing that I would experience. This seems sensible as I guess it would be used later for some sort of homework for desensitising.
Obviously, I want to get down to business and I was wondering if anyone has experience of one to one sessions with a CBT practitioner and how many sessions it was likely to take to get down to business and show some progress? 815
