Since you have the same name as me and a similar degree of paruresis to what I experienced, you might like to hear about the two Workshops that I have attended. Firstly, there were blokes of all ages ranging from a young student of 19 to an oldie like me - I was 84 at the time ! All of them were very friendly and, perhaps surprisingly, just ordinary people like you might meet in the street at any time. In some ways, meeting them was possibly the best part of the experience because it helped you to realise that you are not the freak that you might have thought yourself to be - a big psychological benefit. There is no embarrassment, no pressure - just sympathetic help from the organisers - very experienced and dedicated men who have suffered from the same problem themselves. I would recommend that you seriously consider going on a Workshop yourself. You will actually enjoy it as well as improving your "performance".
And you can start on making an improvement already by reading and acting on the advice in Stephen Soifer's excellent book "Shy Bladder Syndrome". It gives you some idea of what to expect on a Workshop.
Keep posting - it helps.
