Upon discovering the UKPT about a year ago I was in a position where I could not urinate in any toilet that had others present; this had a very limiting effect on my life.
I had read people's recommendations of the workshop, but was too apprehensive to give it a go.
Having started a new job, I bit the bullet and plucked up the courage to sign up.
I have been back for two days and I can say that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
upon arriving, Andrew made me feel completely at ease, Mert created a homely atmosphere and the group bonded in no time at all, there was really nothing to be nervous about!
It was great to be able to comfortably break the silence with a smashing bunch of people.
By the end of the weekend, I felt I had a whole group of new friends that I now shre a unique connection and some great memories with; and some new life skills, including the ability to use the urinals in a busy public toilet (something I could only dream of achieving) !
For anybody who feels they are suffering as I was, I highly recommend the workshop, there really is light at the end of the tunnel.
Overall it was a very positive experience, and although I am missing being there, I know the only way is up, and I have been given the tools to get there.
I would like to thank Andrew and Mert for all your help, I really appreciate the time you put in to help us all, and I wouldn't have made this progress without you, you both deserve a medal (gold of course!). This weekend will live on in our memories for many years to come.
