Before I arrived on the Friday evening, I was practically shaking in fear at the prospect of meeting complete strangers and sharing a weekend with them. Even during the first introductions my nerves were getting to me and I’m sure it was painfully obvious to the others (who may very well have been feeling the same). Though I knew I’d be the youngest there and it might end up being awkward, by the following morning I realised age didn’t matter and we were all there to for the same reason. I met a group of friendly (and normal!) people who have had paruresis a lot longer than me, and to listen to similar experiences was comforting. Anyway, thank you to Andrew, Mert and all the others for a very helpful weekend, one that I would strongly recommend. Tom
