Just a quick one to update everyone on my progress... I joined up a few months ago and am trying to gradually improve my peeing in public...
Truth be told I haven't had much practice recently or really done much. I have cubicles at work which aren't a challenge and the bathroom at home. BUT I did get through a stag do and a wedding recently so this was good news. The stag do was in France and after being really nervous I found that hardly any of the bars had adjacent urinals! I got myself worked up for very little reason - I'm sure you've all had that feeling when you find the loos somewhere are not half as challenging as you imagined... I had a wedding after this and things went well here. I just wanted to get through the wedding without major misfires - unfortunately the toilets were quite cramped with two undivided urinals together... hanging out here really helped my perspective on this - I figured that the background noise was fairly good and that I had a good view of the toilet door from my table so I could tell when people were going... until using the website here I'm sure that I would have just worried through the whole party spoiling the evening. Anyway I went a few times at the urinals always unaccompanied to start - just by using the timing - a couple of times people came in to join and this is obviously a bonus if you're 'in flow'.
So no major leaps forward but I do feel more relaxed about having a shy bladder than a few months ago.
You say no major leaps forward... I would dissagree! The fact that you suceeded in the way you did, despite your worries is enough! Im really glad to hear your stag and wedding went ok. Hope mine does in a few weeks!
Now thats over, you are under no pressure or have no deadline so you can work at your de-sensing at a more relaxed pace. Keep it up and dont push too hard!
So...I had this problem for a long time...One day my mistake I discovered the solution: HOLDING YOUR BREATH !!! (don`t buy books, don`t go for yoga, don`t take any pills, no hypnotise) just read with attention the tehnique it helped a lot of pple I know including me. When you go to the toilet or anywhere to urinate and your shy bladder doesn`t permit you to do that, hold your breath...hold it AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, till you are forced by self to take breath again. When you hold your breath for a long time till the critical moment you will feel that u won`t be able to hold your bladder anymore. That is because you will lose this reflex for the moment and your body will concentrate on breathing. After doing this I realised I can urinate absolutely in any condition, anywhere, in front of 100000 pple looking at me.... just follow my advice and do it correctly....hold that breath as much as possible till u can`t do it anymore. It should work from the begining, but if u don`t succeed try again. Anywayz I am a male but it should work on females too....(at least that-s what I hope so) PS don`t worry, u can`t die from holding your breath )) chill PS2 I wait for your reply pple, if u succeeded or not, tell me, in case u didn`t i`ll try to further assist u. PS3 Sorry for my English.
