Hello
I've just found this site and can't believe the amount of people with the same problem as me. I always thought I was alone with this problem and thought I was a bit mad but now I can see that there are a lot of people in my shoes.
I'm 38 and have been like this since my teens, I'm married with three children who all know what I'm like and take no notice now, but it's so embarrassing when you go out anywhere and feel uncomfortable and unable to tell friends how your really feeling, over the years it's really held me back but now hopefully I can look into the problem with the help of this site.

No-one here is going to embarass you; instead you will be fully understood. So read all the stuff on the website (separate to this forum), and take time to tell your story here.

Hi ron i am 40 and also married with three children i have had this problem from about 16 i also thought i was alone till i found this site about a year ago, i have not gone to a workshop yet but hope to one day.

Hi Mark, Hi Ron. As Andrew says, take in all the good stuff on the website, and keep in touch. The more you express your thoughts, the more support you will get from others.
Mark Re: "i have not gone to a workshop yet but hope to one day". Would you be saying the same thing if you had a broken leg, or some awful, but treatable disease? I guess you would be wanting to get on with fixing it right away. Perhaps you should make time for that workshop, so this AP thing has less impact on your life, and on the life of your friends and family. Remember, you are among friends here.
