I had a long talk with a friend of mine who is a psychiatrist. I confessed my paruresis. He knew about the problem and its diffusion. I asked him which causes could be at the base of the problem. I told me that (at least in my case) this could derive on a too much strict education in my early early childhood about how to satisfy biological necessities, such as eating, drinkink, urinating, cleaning etc. So something even more remote than my sexuality. I think he's right, because I have a feeling that urinating beside someone can be impolite, and that urinals are somewhat off-limit objects. Is someone in agreement with this interpretation? Nick116
