We have agreed to post this request from Gina Fee for research volunteers. The proviso is that though the UKPT does not recommend hypnotherapy for paruresis, this is not an offer of treatment as such, but is research into whether Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy can help with the condition. As such the outcomes are unknown. We would be glad to receive feedback on your experience. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can you help ? 10 research volunteers wanted to undertake Free hypnotherapy treatment for shy bladder Closing Date 10th October 2016. Why am I offering this ? My interest in shy bladder is a very personal one and I aim to increase awareness and find the very best treatment methods. Luckily you have already found this forum so you are in a safe and supportive group. My name is Gina Fee and I am an experienced hypnotherapist and former hypnotherapy tutor. For over 10 years I have been helping to relieve my clients from fears, phobias, anxiety, blushing, IBS, skin complaints, stuttering & tics....the list is endless....and like shy bladder....no one is born with it....all the above have been acquired and the anxiety they create makes us naturally want to avoid the situation - but that proves very difficult for shy bladder because we must pee every day. I am trained in the latest techniques - Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy which means only one or two sessions are usually required. There are many schools of hypnotherapy so even if you have tried this route before this will be very different. This can be done face to face or just as effectively over Skype / FaceTime. Volunteers would then be required to listen to a recording of their personal session/s for 21 days after - this would include e.g. rehearsing feeling relaxed & comfortable to pee in situations that in past may have caused you to lock up. All work will be totally confidential - perhaps you have recently attended a workshop and would like more support to keep your progress moving forward or have been on the forum for advice and information but as yet are still living with your shy bladder.
