Hi Roy, Thanks for the response. Actually just this morning i called my urologist for an appointment to explain again how it works. He explained some years ago, but in fact i never used it. Yes it is a strange feeling to travel with some tubes in your handluggage, but like you say, you're certain to be able to empty your bladder. But beside the trip my friend has lots of activities planned, like going to a hockey game and a tv show. Not exactly the best places for toilets, especially the US versions with their half open cubicals. Off course i can take a catheter with me wherever i go, in case of emergency so to speak. I did not decide yet wheter i go or not, but i'm getting more into an glass half full state of mind. Jan
