I think it's brilliant that you suggested UKPT as the charity for your employer to support. Small charities get very little publicity or financial help,
I'm sure that many of your colleagues don't understand or appreciate the issues that UKPT helps with. With any phobia, those who don't suffer can't understand why it's a big issue for those who do. I'm sure we all know that what we feel is somewhat irrational, but that doesn't stop it being very real and often debilitating for us.
The help and support that UKPT provide, specifically Andrew, is invaluable for all of us who have this condition and want to do something about it in our lives.
On the follow up workshop in Manchester last weekend, Andrew highlighted that if everyone who had been on a workshop gave £3 per month to UKPT, this would make a real difference. It may be that not everyone is able to afford this, but for those who can, perhaps we should, to enable the work of UKPT to be more widely known, and to help those who need its help and who can't necessarily afford to pay for the workshops themselves.363
