This is a posting on behalf of a guy who emailed as follows:
"I asked my GP if he would prescribe a catheter as it was a last resort for me as I was getting desperate for a solution even if it was such a drastic measure. He didnt want to do it but with much persuasion he refered me to a urologist. I have booked a holiday the day after my urologist appointment initially thinking I would come away from the appointent with a bunch full of catheters to use the next day enabling me to enjoy my holiday without holding my urine for hours most days. However, my father is less optimistic. He believes most urologists would take a long time to prescribe the cathetars and not have any there. Is this the case?"
I realised I did not know the answer. What has been your experience?
