Been to two workshops whitch were helpfull,de-sensing when I can and trying to be positive. About a year and a half after my last workshop I decided to go to my GP who referd me to the hospital. I had my urine, blood and an ultrasound done whitch all came back fine.so I asked the Doctor about self catherisation so he referd me to a urologist (today) The urologist had never heard of Paruresis or Shy bladder and seemed up his own arse a bit and wanted to do all the talking and would not listen to the pycological aspect and decided that the most likely cause was Bladder Detruser Neck Dysyneria or to put it in English dis coordination of the Spinctors. He said he could do a full internal under a local but felt that this was a waste of time.I said that I would like to be shown how to self cath but he wasn't keen at first but then agreed to book me in with a nurse in a few weeks but I walked out feeling a bit humiliated like I had to almost beg.he has prescribed me beta blockers as he hopes this will help so we will see. I walked feeling pissed off! I don't care if someone has never heard of it but a bit of warmth towards another human being doesn't go a ####ing miss does it
