My dad has one of these fitted as a result of having become incontinent through prostate cancer surgery. It's great when it works, but he has had several instances where his bladder has emptied itself when the button hasn't been pressed. For a paruresis sufferer who struggles in social situations, I can't imagine how mortified I'd be if that happened in public. Much better to go on a workshop than contemplate surgery like this.
