I agree, the dead silence is so unnatural, so background sounds like music are helpful and just more natural.
I dont know of any attempt to get licensing authorities to waive the license fee; I honestly reckon it would not get off the ground. Then the landlord would have to put a music system in as well.
Some guys find it helpful to use an iPod. Have you tried that?
Or use your phone and listen to a recorded track on it.
BTW about being anonymous; that's OK. But remember: say you are John; there are tens of thousands of Johns out there. I am Andrew: no-one can pin me down because I use my name. The other thing is that this site is actually very boring to people who do not have paruresis. So just think about it; start the journey towards taking control away from your AP.
