Hi Steve I've been to a hynotherapist about this - see my reply on the thread by Bea 'child abuse and paruresis'. I didn't get on at all too well. To be honest, I think it was due to the fact that I didn't have that 'relationship' with the hypnotherapist. I didn't have much trust in the guy, which didn't help much! I guess it is a case of different methods work for different people. Besides, his theory for the practice/ method was rediculous....read the thread and you will get my meaning. Try to get on the course Steve, I'm going, it'll be nice to meet up. In the meantime, if you are able to, Soiffers book is a great first step to recovery. When I read it, it read as though someone was narrating my life!! Regards Pete L
