On this subject I would like to say that I tried some sessions about a few years ago now & found that although it did not solve the problem I found that it helped very much with anxiety on the whole thing which was helpful especially if you base that on the de-sense approach. But what I really wanted to say was that there are many other aspects to hypnosis & I found this thread interesting as I was watching a re-run of top gear yesterday where Mckenna was on & used stage hypnotisation on Hammond & he was completely under his spell - not being able to remember how to drive a car at all. It seemed this could be switched on & off whenever he wanted. However he did say that not everyone is suceptable for this kind hypnotisation. But other areas like NLP might be quite good because they involve going through mind petterns in your head which if practiced enough could maybe accessed at time of de-sensing etc...
