I live in Oxford and have suffered from paruresis since I was about 10 years old (I am 50). I would now like to take steps to tackle this life-long issue and think a "pee buddy" would make sense. Does anyone have tips for how to connect with someone else who can help? Regards, David

Dear David, I'm 53 and I'm trying to exit from the paruresis. I'm Italian so I can't follow Andrew's workshops, but I know they are very interesting. I think a pee buddy can be a quite good idea. I haven't got one. But I'm thinkink about asking one of my closer male friends. I think you have to choose among your closer male friends him whom you trust more, of whom you really care of, and who is a very sensitive and sensible person. Avoid curious or indiscreet friends. You must feel very at ease with him. You probalby know him, you only have to think about him. With friendship. Nick

Hi David A pee buddy would be help but if you haven't yet been on a ukpt workshop I'd suggest one of those is the best place to start, believe me I'm talking from experience. They're surprisingly good fun and you get to talk to others with the same problem as yourself. you'll probably meet 1 or 2 who could become future pee buddies. Go on, give it a go! :-)

Hi David
Agree with Jamie, best do a beginners workshop.
I used to live in Oxford. Am 55, live in Herefordshire near Gloucestershire border and about once a fortnight meetup with 1-2 pee buddies in Wales. Oxford is quite a distance, Witney/Burford would be a manageable distance for me.
