Hi all, I went to the beginners work shop back in May and found it very helpfull. I have been doing some desensitising over the weekends since and found my confidence slowly going. As sod's law would have it now I'm attempting to use the urinals in public no one else is ever around. I'm hoping to go to a follow up workshop next time its in London, but until then if there's anyone in the Southampton area that is looking for desense buds, I would be grateful to hear from you.

Hi Nigel
Its not easy when you are on your own, without the encouragement of the workshop leaders. But can you take heart that you are showing a change of attitude: before, you would have been glad the toilets were empty, or may have avoiding going in. Now you are annoyed that they are empty - that has to be good. One things guys say is that the toilets often are empty, which shows how often they were worrying unnecessarily. You can actually visualise other people being in there; saying to yourself there is a guy two urinals away, or imagining there are footsteps approaching.
Can you get to a motorway services, or a shopping mall like Brent Cross? It may be further to go, but say once a week it would be worth it.
Hi Andrew, Thank you for your reply. Hopefully I will be heading into town a bit more in the future to find more busy places. In a couple of months I'll be spending a week on a cruise so there will be plenty of time and toilets to practice.
