I'd just like to thank Andrew and Stephen for the recent London Follow up workshop.
I was a bit apprehensive at first as I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to make any progress but by the end of the weekend felt that I had moved on by leaps and bounds and at the last desensing session it actually felt natural which was a fantastic feeling..
If you've already done a beginners workshop then I'd recommend doing a follow up as it is well worthwhile.
I was also at the follow on workshop. For me, I wasnt so apprehensive about it (not compared to the first workshop). I'd read a bit on this site about how many people feel their progress slipping after the beginners workshop - you leave on a high - a few good weeks - then your motivation starts to dwindle - and this was how I was before the workshop. SO I went in expecting to see a lift, but not to the extent I experienced on the workshop and since. It also put into perspective all the progress I have made since I first confronted my AP, told my girlfriend and signed up to the beginners'..... I've got a whole new game plan now and I've never felt so comfortable and confident with myself. It was also great to see many familiar faces from the beginners progress and to see the progress they made - which in turn I could see in my self.
I have also just come back from the follow up workshop and recommend it to anyone that has been on the first workshop but feels they need that extra boast of confidence. I left the first workshop on a high, motivated to tackle my AP but it seemed that I too felt a dip in my progress. This, I read ,is quite natural so I decided to sign up for the second workshop and was pleased I did. Unlike the first course I felt much more relaxed as I knew what to expect. This actually helped me to make a big improvement over the weekend and now, with the information again fresh in my mind, I am taking a new approach and actually feel that I can beat it! Andrew and Stephen, the course leaders, were great and it was good to meet up with everyone from the beginners class again to see how they also were improving.
