Hey Guys, Guess What

HI Guys,
I was down the town this morning and went into the loo for a pee. It was empty, so there was no difficulty in starting. I was in full flow and was just thinking it would be perfect if another guy came in. And guess what - in he comes. And guess what again - I kept going!!!

Well done mate, that's fantastic news. Hip hip hooray!!!

I've just arranged to meet up with another paruresis sufferer. The gentleman, and I say gentleman because he's 84 years old, emailed me direct and advised that he lives not that far from Norwich so, i'm going to go next week for a chat.

Hi mate,

At last! I knew it would happen eventually! Its a great feeling, you feel completly 'normal'. The fact that your flow didnt stop means you are more comfortable around other people. When I used to get started and heard a noise, I used to clench up! Not after the workshops though.

Keep at it though, you're making great progress!

I think the key to your breakthrough lies in the way you've changed your thinking:

from the old 'oh god, what if someone comes in?' you've become 'wouldn't it be cool if someone came in now?' - you've turned it into a positive - mind over matter!
