I do not know whether we would qualify for it. Experience with SSRIs is limited. The general feeling is that it can reduce your anxiety so that you are less likely to care, and so are more likely to be able to pee; however it does not cure you. Come off the SSRI and you could be back where you started.
I suppose what it can do is to show you that the condition is anxiety related. It also means you would be experiencing toilet situations and so building up experience of normal behaviour of other e.g. that other people do not pay you any attention. This might help you when you decide to come off it and embark on CBT e.g. graduated exposure, and managing negative thoughts.
