Hi im simon im a 20 year old student from manchester and i cant tell you how good it is to find out that im not the only one. It started developing when i was 17 and lately has started to have a real impact on my life and self confidence. It has made my first year at uni a living hell as I dont wish to go out incase i get stuck and i cannot go. Its starting to affect my relationship with my girlfreind since i am unwilling to go out clubbing or sociaising and it has made me a recluse. Im reading this and crying for the relief of knowing that im not alone and would be interesteted in any advice or known groups in the north west. I want to get over this as soon as possible and start living my life. thank you so much
Simon

Hi Simon
Welcome, and I am really glad for you that you have found our site. You are definitely not alone.
We dont have any groups anywhere; instead we run workshops - see the fixed posting at top of this board, plus the feedback from participants scattered through this board - and we give advice + support via this board and by email.
Go across to our website, the link is at the top of this page under WEBSITE; there's loads of info and advice there. Have a look at it and then get back with comments either on this board or by email to the support address above.
cheers
Andrew

I cried, too, for several days, when I first realised I was not the only one in the world with this problem.
You have done well to find this site. Follow Andrew's advice - you couldn't do better. Good luck.
