I just wondered how easy it was to get a catheter from the doctor? I'm going on a long haul flight in just under a month and was hoping to get one just before i go. Is this realistic?
Also, I was interested about coming to a workshop....
Sorry, the workshop is full, and I would not divulge its location on a public forum; hence the request to get in touch by email.
As for catheters, it varies widely: some GPs agree to prescribe, and arrange for you to be shown how to use them; at the other end of the spectrum other GPs throw up their hands in horror, say infiction is major problem, and that it is not the corrct way forward, totally ignoring how you are supposed to cope until suitable therapy can be given. Then there are those who prescribe tranquillisers....
If you go, you will need to be prepared to assert repeatedly that you lock up, and how are you supposed to cope with that.
