My opinion is that what you are experiencing is a "placebo side effect". I think that if you are feeling a better mood, you should gradually develop more self-esteem, and this should help you overcome also your paruresis. Only remember that antidepressants start to act a few days AFTER you have started the treatment. So hold on. Nick
