Hi, i have bought a catheter for emergencies, i have created a fear in my mind that before having sex with a girl i wont beable to urinate even if i am completely desperate to go. My question is two part, 1) are catheters very effective, in that will it beable to go get passed the sphincter muscles even when i am "locked up", i have never used a catheter before but am fairly confident about how to do it (research + videos makes it look easy) and unlike some men i dont wince at the idea of sticking a tube up my urethra. 2) the reason i havn't yet tried it is that i have no lube, i will get some soon, but in the short term would the lube from prelubricated condoms work? i figured ig it is intended to go within a girl it cant be too dangerous to use as catheter lube. Thank you in advance, i would love to hear from anyone who has exp with caths when shy bladder strikes, btw my caths diameter is 12 (i figured a relatively thin diameter should help it get passed the muscles.
