It's amazing how the quality can change at the same service station between the North and Southbound buildings isn't it! Recently I was travelling down the M1 from the North and stopped at Watford Gap southbound for the first time. I'd been to the Northbound side and the facilities there are reasonably well presented - concealed from view of the entrance and sinks although without dividers. Walked into the Southbound ones expecting the same and they're probably the worst I've ever seen them laid out at a services - a tiny room with about 15 urinals packed tightly together and the sinks right behind! You can only assume they've developed one side of the services since the 60s and not the other! My favourite are at Corley and Keele, but I've heard London Gateway are good?
