Today my Fiancee had a recording experience thingy in Tumbridge Wells (where ever that is!) so we set off from home at 7 am. Her Mum came along with us. Although this was my first 'full day' trip since any of the workshops, I wasnt atall nervous about the loo situation.
First we stopped at a service station after about 2 hours of driving and I was offered a cup of tea. The funny thing is I instinctively said 'No thanks' without thinking! Then I remembered that I CAN have a cup of tea! So I did. I went to use the loos before we left and all was good at the urinal (I went to the end far away from people and was fine).
At the recording studio, it was only us there and the person who worked there. About 20 mins before we left, I came out the booth and went to the 'green room' where there was a loo. I thought it was empty but to my shock there were about 5 other people there! They had turned up early for their session. This was a suprise to me but I went to use the single loo anyway. My nerves were getting up a bit and I could here them just outside the door and was unable to go. But I did a No. 2 instead! hahaha
Then we ended up at Blue Water shopping center in/near Kent where I was able to go fine in a cubicle (I tried at a urinal first like I promised myself and almost went, but wasnt expecting to as there wernt that many urinals).
So my 9 hour trip turned out fine in the end, but its just that one incident that sticks with me. I thought my new found confidence at busy, large WC's would also help me with the other areas too, like people outside the WC door, but sadly not
Im going to crack on with the de-sensing at urinals, and hope that as I improve, it will help me with situations like today. Im telling myself that missfires happen, its part of the recovery process. Just a bit annoyed thats all!
Thanks for reading and any advice appreciated!
Mark
