Just got back from my week in Cornwall. Had a great time but not exciting on the urinating front.
I was hoping for an opportunity to be able to tell my son about my paruresis but no chance presented itself. We didn't need to use a loo together all week and I just didn't feel ok to bring the subject up out of the blue. Anyway, I'm cool about this and will talk to him at the right time - or maybe I'll get it sorted first and won't need to!!
We did a lot of walking on holiday so used I bushes, rocks etc as you do. One time I needed to go on a beach and there were some people some distance away who could see me. Until now, I'd have to have been completely out of sight to be able to relax, but I was able to go, so that was good.
I went a couple of times in unoccupied urinals but nothing challenging. One thing that's good is that my wife is becoming more understanding as I talk to her more about the whole problem.
But, enough about me - it's been good to get back and catch up with how you guys have been getting on. Well done to you Adam for your time at the pub and for being able to go in front of your wife!! That's something a lot of us can only dream about. And don't worry about your son - he's one for goodness sake, with your positive attitude you'll be sorted before he's out of nappies!
How are you doing Mark? Let us know how things are going. Even if you don't feel you've made huge strides forward, it's still good to share and get some encouragement.
Cheers for now guys.
