There was a British example some time ago in Blackadder II. They are lost at sea by Captain Rum (Tom Baker) and have to stand in line (Percy, Blackadder and Baldrick) to wee in bottles so they can drink their own urine.
Blackeradder goes "always the same isn't it - you get all keyed up and then you can't go". Suspect Ben Elton, Rowan Wtinkson or Richard Curtis have all or either suffered the same problem then ......
